Delete your Golf Time account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Golf Time account (app ID tech.golftime.app, published by Golf Time Technologies, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) and what happens to your data when you do.

Deletion is permanent. Your account cannot be restored afterwards, and your golf history, badges, and XP cannot be recovered.

Option 1 — Delete it yourself in the app

The fastest way, and it takes effect immediately:

  1. Open Golf Time and sign in.
  2. Tap your avatar to open Profile.
  3. Open Settings (gear icon).
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm, then re-enter your password to prove it's you.

The password step is a safety check — if the password is wrong, nothing is deleted. Once confirmed, your sign-in credentials and profile are removed and you are signed out.

Option 2 — Ask us to delete it

Use this if you can't sign in, no longer have the device, or would rather we handle it. Email support@golftime.tech from the address on your account, with the subject "Delete my Golf Time account", and include:

  • The email address you signed up with
  • Your display name in the app, if you remember it

We verify the request comes from the account holder, then delete the account within 30 days and confirm by email. We may ask one follow-up question if we can't match the request to an account.

What gets deleted

Removed right away:

  • Your sign-in credentials (email address and password)
  • Your profile: display name, photo, playing vibe, skill level, home course, and any other profile details you entered
  • Your favourite courses, badges, and XP
  • Your notification settings and push-notification token
  • Your prize-draw entries and prize preferences

Not removed automatically:

Content you shared with other golfers stays in place so their conversations and shared game history aren't broken — 19th Hole posts and photos, chat messages in lobbies and direct messages, games you hosted or joined, and scores you entered. Because your profile is gone, these are no longer linked to a reachable account.

You can have that content deleted too — just say so in your email (Option 2), or email us after deleting in the app, and we'll remove it within 30 days.

Kept longer, deliberately:

Safety and moderation records — reports made about or by your account, and blocks — are retained so we can keep enforcing them and protect other golfers. We also keep records we're required to keep by law. These are stored separately from your profile and are not used to contact you or to rebuild your account.

Just want a break instead?

You don't have to delete your account to step away. You can sign out, turn off push notifications in Settings, or block individual golfers. If you'd like your profile hidden from other golfers without losing your golf history, email support@golftime.tech and we can disable it for you — and turn it back on whenever you want.
